E38 vs 1UZ projector compare

It's hard to see with out actually having both in front of me but what if you took the lens off our housing and use a dremel accordingly to fit the entire E36 one inside you may have to cut some material off . That way you could use the stock mounting points.

Here is the shield on our 1UZ projectors...
Here is the shield on the E38 projectors...
As you can see, very different. The BMW shield allows much more light through. Also the BMW lens allows more light because it is thinner. The dremel method requires some precision cutting through forged 12-gauge steel---not fun. You'd also have to cut out the shield, and it still wouldn't work because the reflector on ours is larger diameter. It's easier to cut through the plastic backing and line up some new Kragen aiming screws. Scott, there is yet more improvement you can achieve with the proper optics .

G35x - RWD/AWD goodness
Warning, I have no idea on this but... can you just separate or cut the 2 units in half and combined the halves you need? Like take the back mounting from our lamp and the front of the BMW's.
