the term is alternator whine.
could be a ground in a bad spot, i would try moving it somewhere else (opposite side maybe)
also can be cause from your RCA's being ran with your power wire, you should have RCA's down one side of the car, and the Power wire ran on the opposite side (usually the battery side of the vehicle in our case the driver side) if you guys made it easier on yourselves and ran them together all the way back, that could be your problem alone
in school we learned a cool trick for testing the best place for a ground with a $1 speaker from radio shack.. pretty amazing how every inch can effect noise.
i truly recomend running power and rca on opposite sides if you havent already though.. and then make sure the ground is grounded toward the pass side of the car since it wont be directly inline with the power

- also it looks like you have a different guage wire for your ground than your battery, thats a no no too, think about your electronics flowing like a pipe line, the bigger the pipe line the more flow, if you have a big pipeline going in one side then it squeezes into a smaller pip on its way out, your going to get some kind of ground loop or at the very least underutilize your equipment

I believe the stock amps ar bad, but like he said it could be a grounding issue.. I'm going to change out the stock speakers with some polk audio speakers and get a 2nd aftermarket amp to push the inside speakers, hopefully this will stop the whine..
I didn't know that about the different gauge wire.. It was just a temporary thing, but if you think it will cause problems I'll do a 4 gauge wire for the ground also thanks jinsoku
