So yesterday I go to leave work to grab a bite to eat. When I turn the key to start the car I get nothing, no click, just silence. All the dash lights, radio and electronics work, and I can hear the fuel pump humming. It took about 20 key turns to get it to start. Started perfectly fine this morning, but got to work and tried to restart it and it took a few tries to get it to fire.

Suggestions?

The car is a 92 sc300 (2JZGTE/V160).
DS fenderwell harness has already been relocated

Starter solenoid sounds like it's going out (assuming that your battery is all ok).

Hope its not your tumbler in your lock cylinder. My car did the same thing. Turn the key and nothing happened; yet my battery was charged and good, starter was fine, and so were all the fuses. Ended up being my tumbler broke and the tumbler is want starts the electrical process of starting the car.

It ended up costing me $600 to fix. $300 part from lexus plus $300 in labor ($91/hr shop )

That is easy. Remove connector from the starter and hook up test light from the connector to the ground. Make sure you can see the light from the cabin. Play with ignition like you are starting the car while looking at the light... diagnose.
