I have a 6 speed getrag in my car now, and have been trying to nail down a good shifter setup for it in my SC. Today I got the MKIV Supra 6 speed shift **** from the dealer, but when I screw it all the way down, it interferes with the Reverse gear pull-up mechanism on the shifter. I initially had an aftermarket Pilot shift ****, but it wouldn't stay on tight.
What shifter setups are you guys that have this transmission running?

I have a C's shifter and a modified Momo ****. Then I had the carbon fiber replaced with wood grain graphic. ![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
It actually works well, I had to remove about 1/4" off the lower bezel that screws on the bottom.

Old pic of where it sets in the car. By the way, the lift ring is under the boot, I just pull it thru the boot, I didnt like the look of the aluminum ring on the outside.

FYI - I went in there today and surgically removed the thick plastic ring from the shift boot with a razor blade. I tightened the **** down as tight as it needed to be, and just like Wicket SC said, the reverse works just fine. Thanks!

Here is another solution for those of you looking for a shift **** for your Getrag V160/161 that is not Greddy or OEM. This is an aluminum **** and is OEM JDM Subaru for the WRX STi. I believe that any **** that fits the STi will fit the Supra. If feels really nice but I haven't had a chance to drive with it because it is raining here. I purchased it at AQ Motorsports (www.harmonmotive.com). Yes, it is sort of expensive.
