My 91 1jz supra caught on fire and my collector car insurance screwed me big time I lost 6k. I don't have a SC yet (my first seller fell through) but I'm determined. I have been looking at these cars for over a year now wanting a new platform to play with.
You see, I slaved for two years before I bought my supra. After I had the cash to buy it my ex-wife would not let me get one, but maybe thats why she's my ex-wife now. So what I'm saying is I painted houses all summer for two years and divorced a wife to get my sc. it's not a sob story we are both better off and happy now, thats just the way life goes some times.

I worked 3 summers in landscaping, then a whole summer at a tropical snow stand to save up for my car, and detailed cars on the side when i had time. The sc wasnt always the car i wanted, but once i was behind the wheel i knew it was the car for me.

With the help of my dad (whose a car dealer) I flipped 5 cars over the course of 5 years while attending school full-time before I could buy my SC. Then I flew down to Phoenix to buy it and drove it back. Definatly hard work but all worth it!

I am 19 years old and I paid for and for everything on my sc300. I started caddying when I was in eighth grade and saved enough to buy my sc when I was sixteen. After that I worked as a painter to buy the ls400 bbk, w58 swap, recaro evo X seats, mb battles, blitz nur-spec duals, stance coilovers, and I just ordered a nardi wheel. I have worked my *** off to waste all of my money on this car lol

My first summer of college, I worked 80 hours a week (11 hours a day at a construction job, 5 hour night shift at UPS) for three months. I paid cash for a 1996 Acura TL. Six months later, I was run off the road, totalled the Acura, and made $1600 on insurance. I bought the SC and had just enough to get the windows tinted and a full tune-up. I worked my *** off for the next 4 years (12 hour semesters with 30 hour work weeks while paying all of my own bills for my own place and school) to get two sets of rims, suspension, LS BBK and take care of numerous maintenance issues. I graduated 4 months ago and with my first good paycheck bought a CF hood.

It was more than just hard work, but when I get back it will all be worth it. Education, no more crappy jobs, and a sick sc, god bless america.. and thank you all for paying taxes aka my salary.
Thank you for your service. Come home safe.

My e90 6speed got totaled almost a year ago, my sc just fell into my lap.
I always used to work hard to modify my cars, but now I work smart, it's a little easier with age

Damn thats the same thing i did. I worked my *** off for about 5 months while going to school to save up for another renaisance red 97 sc300 w/ 160K. I sold a few cars to get this. I bought the car for $3400. And it feels good to know that i worked hard and bought it. The car runs amazingly good too...its smoother than my other 98 sc400.

Uhmmmm. . . . not to belabor the point here, but you do realize that YOU were totally at fault for hitting this "dumb" woman, DON'T YOU ????

oh, and btw, please don't ever drive behind me

I got me an old POS mitsubishi mirage hand me down when I was sixteen. I worked my whole junior and senior year at a Domino's pizza and my freshman year in college at a Panda Express to save up enough for my 95 manual SC300. It felt so good being able to actually pass someone on the freeway never thought I would love this car so much

I'm current'y paying off my school debt while still taking classes and working 40 hours a week. I'm 20 and living on my own. I have no single place to store my Lexus and parts and tools. Right now I have the Lexus tarped outside my GF's house. I have my tools, engine, etc parts in a friends barn and I have my interior and other delicate parts stashed inside a friends parked Suburban. I still need to buy pars with the money I use to pay for rent, schooling, and food... It's a work in progress, but I'm in the process of working hard for it.
