So what happened with the original poster? I'm actually pretty interested in hearing about reliability issues of both motors from those that have experience with either. For me, living in CA, the biggest issue would be passing smog. Not that I haven't spent a little extra just to have a shop "pass" my car, but I like the idea of not having to even worry about smog or cops here in LA.
