What year is my car??
Ok i bought my car a few months ago 93 SC300, Ive bin out of toyotas since my 89 supra, 1st thing i noticed (since joining the forum) was My 97+tail lights,Bigger calipers than the SC300,My ABS pump looked different, the AC system uses R134 and the brake booster resivior looks different
When i 1st went online to do my insurance quote i used the VIN from the door and it came up as a 95 but the title says 93 so i checked the VIN in the window and under the at the firewall and title they all matched and said 93 .....So if my car is a 93 why would someone go though all that make the car different when everything is stock??

I discovered that the brakes are SC400 with SC300 rotors one side has the sc400 pads and the other has the sc300 pads, the ABS pump is from a 95. the rear tail lights are from a 98. Why would they go through all the trouble to change the AC system?.BTW when i bought the car the whole stereo was ripped out of it too.

Your car most likely had an accident and they changed the door with one from a 95. The taillights were probably changed for newer ones from 97+ because the owner likes them better. The brakes were most likely changed and they didn't realized that the sc4 were different than the sc3.
The sc400, supra NA, and soarer TT front brakes are all the same and they bolt up to the sc300 spindle like stock.
They most likely had the AC serviced and they converted to r134.
