Default Need some help...

Well just got the 99 sc300 couple of months ago and now i see that the valve cover is leaking oil i went ahead and tried to replace the gasket. 2jz-ge is a ***** just to get to the valve cover, i guess this is the first time doing it so it so damn hard and time consuming. Worked on sr20det and ka24de b4 and they are totally easier.

My questions are:
1. I see oil in my throttle body and intake plenum, what is the cause of this? Can't seem to see how oil can get into intake. Well valve cover is leaking so iono if that's the problem.

2. What is the best way to clean oil and oil build in between the valve cover? Im scare so much **** might fall in where the spark plugs are and can't get tat out.

thanks in advance,
Ryan

The EGR will cycle unburnt gases back into the intake to create a "better" burn to pass emissions; therefore, the build up is from the unburnt gases. This is typical of any car that runs an EGR system.

Also have to remember the fuel injectors are located on the runners, so fuel could cause a oil like substance to form with the contact of the build up.
