Default Is my rpm gauge is incorrect?

I just finished my 5 speed swap over last week.. While on the highway I notice the rpm was crazy high for driving only 80mph in 5th gear. Is there anyway to fix the rpm?

that is pretty high i have an original 5spd and i think at 80 i do like 3k. but when ur doing 80 does it feel like ur doing 5k rpm? if not u probably need to recalibrate ur gauges. but if it does feel like 5k maybe its ur tranny ratios. also r u using a w58 or an r154?

Yeah, that's super high. I'm assuming you have a W58? Mine is below 3k at 80mph.

that's what happens when you have an auto instrument cluster with a 5 speed, same thing as mine. You either get a 5 speed cluster or just ignore the tach and make guesstimates based off the speed / gear

I have an automatic. I did the ECU reset and ever since I did that - my RPM gauge is crazy! Sometimes it moves in sync with my accelaration but other times i can be flooring it and the gauge is showing 0 RPM - while the speedometer is showing the correct speed. Any ideas? I live in Pembroke Pines.
