bumping this thread since its getting closer.
ill be driving down from maryland along with a few friends:
2-3 supras
fully built rx7
ka-t s14
possibly a friends r33
as far as i know were all driving, since none of us have car trailers.. then again i could just geta uhaul and grab my brothers lifted f350 superduty.. humm

^^^^ Nice, when are you guys leaving? There's a thread on SF in NE section about folks going down. I'll be rolling with that crew, mine will be on a U-Haul trailer and I'm getting a toy hauler soon :-).

What airport do you recommend me? Houston or San Antonio?
I want to be there by Thursday. Is anyone with a nice SC (ok ok, or Supra) who can pick me up?

ill be runnin in the lower horsepower bracket if i do end up going but it all depends on if i can swap motors, convert to manual, 4pt roll cage and get it tuned in 3 months.
im confident i should be able to, otherwise ill be riddin shotting for 3000 miles in the FD !

i have a buddy how has a house in Katy, tx (the city of the mexico runs) .. but other then that im not sure. ill have to talk to my friends. i took off work for it yesterday, i just want to find a hotel with security and gates. imagine how many supras and other nice cars down there.. itd be like a play ground for car theives

Bush Intercontiential Airport (45 mins from Omni).
My supra won't be ready in time for TX2K11, so i'm taking my porsche. See you guys at the rendezvous for the caravan down.
Our projected trek down will be the following:
95S to 85S (Petersburg, VA) to 65S (Montgomery, AL) to I10 (Mobile, AL) to I12 (Slidell, LA) and finally back onto I10 (Baton Rouge, LA)...straight to Omni. Takes between 19-22hrs depending on how many stops you make and this is from the DMV area to the Omni.

The Omni doesn't have either.
I was nervous about leaving my Supra at the Omni for 2 nights. There's VERY limited covered parking which is the high foot traffic area, and there's an upper deck and very dark parking lot.
I actually removed some key 'parts' so that I knew my car wouldn't start.
If I'm lucky, this time I might stay at someone's house instead...if not then I'm not going.
