Well it's been a great 3 and a half years of SC ownership up until today. Leaving the parking lot at my university today I was backed into by a lady who failed to observe before she reversed. She was in a Jeep Liberty and the only damage to her vehicle was the vinyl spare tire cover on the rear door. To make things even worse after she got out of her vehicle she asks "Oh, is that a new car?"


At this point I still have no idea what's happening with insurance but as far as I know a rear quarter that bad on an SC cannot be fixed. Wish me luck...

Was she doing like 30 when she hit it? Why the heck did she continue to tear the whole side off once she hit it initially? I feel for you man. Simple, clean combo on that ride and it looks really sweet

Man, I know the feeling. A crazy woman driver backed into me at my university's parking. I was in the freaking car reading for a class I had in an hour. Totally ruined my whole day. She ruined my front bumper and broke both my highbeam lamps. Sorry just doesn't cut it.

 

Man that really sucks, I would be so pissed if that happened. I wish for the best for you man.

 

Man that makes me sick... and it aint even my car, just another fello SC member. I hope you get it fixed. It looks so much like mine.

 

Damn that really sucks man. It looks similar to damage on my SC the day after I bought it except I had less damage on the door.

I was in the same situation as you. I was in my car at the tag agency to transfer the title and this idiot with his suv decided to turn wide into the parking spot next to me and hits the whole side. His insurance fixed it though. Hopefully they don't total it. Your car is real clean.

 

Sorry to hear about your car. Hopefully insurance will get your car fixed back to where it was or at least get you a newer SC. Good luck man!

i wont even drive my sc to my university for fear of something like this happening cause all of the kids drive like *** hats and parking is too close in the parking decks. i just roll my daily

If my body shop can fix this.... You can get that fixed... sucks but she can be pretty again!!! If you can buy a rear-clip somewhere and have them hack off that section.. sucks but it could be one of your options...

 

It is her insurance companies obligation to get you a car in like condition, soooo don't settle for the cheap offers, find a car similiar to yours at the least no matter if they are more then book or not.
