Default Finally got to the dyno! 407whp 1jz :)

What a freaking difference. First off let me rep the place who tuned it. Three Face Racing in Oxford, GA. Heres the specs on the engine and what not

Stock 1jz motor
Super T70 turbo (ebay special baby)
3" turbo back single exhaust
550cc Supra Injectors
Tial style BOV
Tial style wastegate

I'm not sure why the turbo makes that fluttering sound when the engines getting bogged out but I was told that it was normal due to the turbo not having an anti surge compressor housing so I just roll with it. so anyway, I think this was one of the fourth gear pulls

oh and I highly recommend Mickey Thompson ET Streets. I have absolutely zero wheel spin even with 407whp. It almost hurts in first gear lol.

With ebay turbos, it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when.

Really are they that bad?

But since they are so cheap you can just buy another right?

Is it easy to swap out a weak or broken turbo--since all the other parts are in place ready to go ?

They can be REALLY bad, some aren't, and it's not as simple as replacing the turbo, if the impeller breaks apart, it will be a matter of replacing the engine after the shrapnel makes it's way through.
