Default Who should swap 2jz-gte for me in an sc300

Been wanting one for a long time, finally have the cash to do it. Don't have the car yet, but am looking at 2. Plan on paying somebody to do the job for me. Cash isn't a problem, but don't want to spend a fortune. I'm in the southeast(FL/NC). I know of toyomoto(Miami) and Xat racing(Tampa) can do it, but want the job done right, any thoughts/suggestions/opinions? Also, about how much am I looking at spending?

Also, any suggestions on year that I should buy? This has probably been covered but couldn't find any info. Would a 96 going to be more trouble?

are You partially mechanically Inclined? Rent a Storage Room & Do it all yourself. Save All the Money!
Shops Generally Love to Jump on this type of scenario due to you saying "cash isn't a Issue".
2JZ wiring can't be that hard.
I love seeing all the people that Payed $500+ to have someone Do their wiring..especially on 1JZ Drop in swaps. What a damn Rip off.
Some Information on this Site Will Most likely Mislead You and Have you going in the wrong direction because of SO many Diff answers given on Multiple Threads.

So Check multiple Sources before Thinking you can't do something.

Good luck

its not the swap part thats hard and costly, it's all the parts you should replace that will end up costing you. Unless you're going to buy an engine and put it in your car right away, you should do all maintenance while the engine is out.

Well, of course I'm not gonna go looking for a place saying "cash ain't an issue". I am decently mechanically inclined. I just don't have an engine crane, nor the engine. I don't really want to buy a used engine, and it be my *** if something ain't right. My living arrangements aren't really the best for taking on a project like this at the moment. Just trying to get a basic idea of how much I'm looking to spend. Thanks.

Wow! Toyomoto has been closed for years..That's really going back inthe days! There's a ton of shops that can do the swap for you. Send me a PM and I'll point you in the right direction..

Both shops you mentioned aren't in business anymore, and for a long time. I know lance is still tuning and maybe other things but i don't believe he actually has a business any more.
