Default brake pads. Which to get?

I need new brakes. The car is just a daily driver. No racing or anything. Whats the cheapest pads I can get that are good? Thanks

I forgot to add I will be using cross drilled/slotted rotors as well. Does that make a difference which pads I get.

just my.02 cents but don`t buy the lifetime warranty brake pads. The companies make them harder so that they will last longer. Which on paper sounds real good, until you hear your lexus squeak like a hoe every time you touch the brake pedal.

well, there was a group buy awhile back.
people seem to think well of the ebc pads but they are only made for the front of the sc
im getting some pads made by sumitomo for the rear.
im told sumitomo makes oem for toyota in japan and that theyre supposed to be better than lexus oem.
who knows? could be saleman talking trash.
but i figure i can give em a try and see what happens

Heheh. My Supra TT stock brakes were made by Sumitomo. If you're getting brake pads then get stock ones from Toyota. It's been proven that stock pads and stock rotors are the best for normal driving. Cross-drilled and/or sloted rotors aren't reliabile and don't help much in braking while aftermarket pads either kill the rotors or wear out fast. If you want real braking power, then upgrade then upgrade the calipers and the rotors to bigger ones. Nothing more to say.

Default OEM

I also have drilled/slotted rotors on my SC i use OEM lexus pads there quiet, work good and dont leave much dust, i recomend you stay away from the auto, kragen, pep boy brands, and raybestos, like stated earlier they are harder, they squeel, make alot of dust and tend to warp and crack your rotors those were my experiences, but its up too.

PS i havent had any probs with my drilled/slotted rotors from SC400.com
