you gotta pay to play. if you cant afford it or cant/have time to deal with the possible headaches it comes with dont even bother, youre just digging your own grave

How is your current engine running? What year is your car and how many miles?
Do you have any leaks? Major maintenance plans for the future (Timing belt, wp, etc)?

Does your state have tough engine swap laws? do you have a "cool" mechanic that
would pass you when inspection time comes around?

What's your overall budget?

budget = 1jz or 2jz swap
a budget na-t is not very fun to drive. good engine management is the largest concern.

x2 a straight up swap is budget friendly and minimal maint if you just do bolt on's. Going NA-T is very custom and requires a good amount of attention to get it to the point in which it requires minimal tuning and maint.

Dont go cheap, save up and do it right, last thing you want is do a swap without replacing essential maintenance parts and finding out after the swap is completed. Do it right the first time or don't do it at all.
