Default Trans Solenoid #4 Report

I know there was a lot or talk about this DIY mod a while back. That being, severing the wire that activates the #4 solenoid in the auto trans so that the trans shifts more aggressively.

I did this over a year ago now and it is still going strong, no mech troubles. Friends that are not used to it comment on the rough down shift from 2-3 to 1 but I am used to it now. I have thought to try to wire it to the Power switch but I am not sure HOW to do it so the witch is closed when it is in Normal mode and open when it is in power, I am afraid I would do more damage than it helped.

Just thought I would share since there was alot of talk of potential negative effects of doing this. Anyone else have any experiences to share on this?

Anyone else have good info on a DIY to link this to the trans "Power" switch so I can make it more comfy when I want the "Lexus" aspect of the ride back?
