Default Damn power mirrors!!!

When i bought my Sc400, the power mirrors didn't work. I can't find the fuse for it.. i looked into the engine bay fuse box and also the driver side kick panel but don't see one that say's mirror fuse... Help please!

If the fuse is good, how do I go about testing the actual switch? I read on the forums about people testing it but it doesn't say how...

Also, in my friends sc400..whenever the car turns and the key removed, the steering wheel retracts, seats move all the way back for the driver to get out. Mine only have the steering wheel movement but the seats doesn't move back, what is the issue here?

SORRY, some members might think I don't search enough but trust me I have, everything from this site to every related link that comes up in google..also owners manual. Some guidance would help greatly!

I am not sure about your mirrors. is there no power when you are trying to adjust the mirrors? check for a loose plug? not sure if there is a fuse for it but you can check your kicker panel theres a diagram of fuses and it might say MRRW or something like that

as for the seat, it doesn't retract i believe or not for my 2 SC that i had only the steering wheel retracts

There is no power at all to the mirrors. I checked the plug and its secure to the switch. I'll have to look at the kick panel diagram again but i'm certain I didn't see one that says MRRW.

On my friends previous SC400 and one that I have checked out, the seats do move back when ignition turned off. But not the one I bought....well that's not such a big concern, it's just the mirrors because I hate having to use my hand to adjust it. Don't want to break it either.

Only the steering wheel is supposed to move when you take the key out.

Does this mirror ECU also control the rear view? None of my mirrors
work and the kick panel fuse looks fine. I was assuming it was the
door switches that went bad.

My switches on the door do not control any of the mirrors. I believe
the rear view is also controlled from the door switch correct? I can't
move it by hand so I'm assuming it's electronically controlled unless
the previous owner used liquid nails on it or something :/

My steering wheel also never moves forward during key entry and shut
down. I don't hear any grinding of gears like others experience. If I reset
my ECU, it will only work once then completely stop.

There are no motor in the rear view mirror, it is adjusted by hand. The only thing that some rear view mirror has the anti-glare at night from cars headlight behind you. Steering wheel does move when you remove or insert the key, just press the "auto" button beside your steering column. As for your seats, it does not move unless you press the assigned position on your door panel. There is a ecu for the mirrors, before buying, make sure state your year and model, i think some mirror ecu have some different S/N, so I dont know if all works the same or not.

Great info Horent135. The auto button doesn't work for my steering wheel nor
do my side mirrors. I'll see if Aliga has the correct year and model mirror ECU.
