Default how hard to relace air filter in SC

Hi
i need to replace the air filter (just regular air filter not A/C air filter) but it looks like it ain't easy as changing air filters on Toyota Camry or Honda Accord. does anyone know how to do it? or is this to be done at dealer.
thanks!

this is a DIY job. all you do is pop the few clips that hold the air filter, then pull out the old dirty filter. then put in the new one just like how you took out the old filter. easy as that.

You could try a Toyota dealership. I'm not sure if the tundra's V8 (3UZ-FE) is the same as the SC400 (1UZ-FE)

but try the toyota dealership first.

Lexus gets expensive quick.

The air filter from 1997 Toyota 4Runner V-6 will fit it.

got my air filter from Lexus for $13.00 while at Keyes Lexus in CA for an oil change ($40.00). Keyes seems to charge lower prices on services than any other dealers in CA.

i will try to replace today.
thanks guys!!

by the way, they wanted 47 bucks for changing the air filter (that is a rip-off). i've read a few threads about changing the A/C filter but seems like it is non-existent??

Do SCs of all years come with cabin air filter?
I thought nobody knew the answer to this.

1993 and up. For 1992, you can trim the sides of the filter a little bit to get it to fit. I may end up doing that soon.

Some people don't have the filter in theirs.

I wanted to replace it and when I opened it, there was no cabin air filter.

Some website based Lexus dealers charge $13 for the air filter. It is the one thing on the SC that is easier to change than on most other cars.
