Simple questions about replacing radiator?
Since I cant find any junk yards in the area to get my lexus back on the road again,I was gonna go the cheaper route in getting my radiator and support fixed.
I was wondering if the koyo radiator (96-00) will fit a 95 sc400? its 30$ cheaper than the one listed for (92-95).
and is it ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to bleed the radiator and/or its system when replacing? A friend of mine who works on cars who will put it in free for me, but he said its only really crucial if it were to leave air pockets which are bad. He also thinks he can heat up the radiator support and "pull it out" without having to buy, cut and weld a new one on. So, obviously I don't want to let my cocky friends work on my car if they are gonna further damage my car.
I just need to get it on the road before snow falls... and then I have to prepare for studded snow tires...
Thanks for any real replies I might get, because I am not ordering a radiator until I am sure I can get it fixed right.
