Question Double Check, quick question.

I just bought new bulbs for my clear sidemarkers. They are 12volt / 5watt plasma PIAA bulbs. I just want to make sure that you guys approve them as safe for use. Don't wanna burn anything up!
Thanks in advance!

hey silverbolt, what does the number say on the box of piaa wedge bulbs? i have them too and i compared them side by side in the headlights with the hiper ones. i sort of like the hyper color bulb more because it gives off a more white shine, with a tint of blue. not too bad. the piaa bulbs are not like white, but more of a pale white. looks yellow in our headlamps.

Hey do-luck, the box says PIAA wedge bulb-type 168 Part No. 19171 H-63 (hope that helps). I want to have a white shine w/ a hint of blue, that's exactly what I expected from these bulbs, my intention is to match the sylvania cool blue low beams i have in. But these bulbs are ridiculously blue, you can barely tell they are intended to look white. Very ricey, that's why I needed to take them out IMMEDIATELY! hopefully I can what I need tomorrow & make the exchange. But on the bright side of this dilemma, I'm a pro at taking apart the fender cover to access the sidemarkers & headlights! I've taken it apart a countless # of times recently.

Hey SilverBolt,
Try exchanging them for the Extreme whites, part no. 19172.
This might achieve the color you looking for.

Hehe... I tried those PIAA Plasma bulbs once. I knew they weren't going to be any good just by looking at how much paint was caked on the bulb. Surprise, surprise, I could hardly tell they were on when I popped them in and they burned especially hot. Anyone tried using LED lights in the parking light fixture? BTW, 168 and 194 are pretty much the same bulb and are interchangeable between parking lights and sidemarker lights.

For wedgies, I recommend the Koitos...I'll try to take some comparison photos of them next to OEM and Polargs...
