I made the swap to the 94 tail lights and now my dash light is on indicating that I have a blown bolb. The connectors fit like a glove is there anything I can do to get that indicator light off.

I take it that you like the look of the '92-'94 tailights? But to most of us here on CL, You essentially "downgraded"...But yeah, there's fix for that problem of yours...I'm sure someone here knows.

I've never seen someone with a 95+ go to a 92-94 style taillight. Does it blink really fast? The 92-94 taillights do use more bulbs than the 95+ tails do so I'm not sure how you would get the indicator to go away.

Just take out your cluster and remove the bulb that shows light failure. It will never go away.

I'm pretty sure you need to replace the tail light module in the trunk. Its a yellow module near the power antenna. You need to swap that with a 92-94 module and take out your 95-96 tail light module. The 92-94, 95-96 and 97+ tail lights all run at different OHMs so that is why you are getting the bulb out warning light on the dash. The correct module should correct this.
