wow..ancient thread...

If you are talking about the 92-94 taillights, there is no diffuser you can remove to make the amber portion clear. The lens itself is orange.

Now if you're talking about 95-96 taillights, then yes, you can remove the insides to make the bottom appear clear. Although it would be best then to cut a diffuser to the shape and fix it to the bottom. Do a search and you will see many DIY threads on this style of taillight.

Red face Nevermind

Im driving 93 very old car...Hope this thread is not that old much...
a driver for that is even older than that...

I hate to hear "do research" particular language sort somehow...anyway...
I found the link for clearing sc tail lights for 94-96 models.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...light=clearing
I personally think that 94-96 tail lights are the easiest to make them clear looking, also no electronical assembly changes needed for other years fitment, if I am not wrong...
91-93s are hard to work with as you guys all already figured.

I was talking about a crystal mod on 92-94 tail lights but...ah well...seems like someone posted here how to do it on CL forum already...nevermind then...

ive always wanted to take the outer lense on my 92's completely and get those euro tail lights they have and use that outter clear lense and put those on it to have clear tail lights....

but i dont know if the bottom portion of the 92's have that clear diffuser like the signal section or is it all showing the nasty insides after the lense comes off

After the 1/2 orange 1/2 red outer lens is off, there is a one piece white diffuser (upper and lower) that is between outer red/orange lens and the nasty insides. Purchasing the euro lights on ebay for the clear outer lens is the way to go if you can afford $200 and it'll be way easier.
