man i've figured out awhile back you have to be delicate taking things apart in our interiors, they break easy and the parts are expensive!!! I have black interior too which ups the costs when interior pieces need to be replaced..

 

The use of a lot of these flimsy materials is an effort to keep the weight down. These cars are already fat cows, and every little bit adds up

 

Seperate the material from cardboard, and use it as a template for corrugated plastic sheet. cut it and paste

I don't think I could stress how GENTLE I was. It was literally like saw dust, as I touched it it crumbled.

I'm thinking this is a reason to get a custom deck made in the back (maybe match the leather color on the doors) for a custom sub/rear speaker setup.

I didn't know the rear deck was that flimsy? I haven't taken mine out yet.

Those stupid door panels and window trim annoy the crap out of me though. My trim looks like it's about to split, but hasn't completely torn. I need to reinforce it before it does.
