Default Replacing exhaust tips

Hey there... Anyone know how to get the SC400 stock exhaust tips off to replace them? On the new tip, I see there is a catch that locks on to the muffler tip, but I cannot get my screwdriver in between the muffler and the tip extension to release the catch. Any hints? They had to put the catch in the back right up against the muffler? RRRR!!!!

you should be able to go in through the front of tip and bend the tabs out. Should slide right off after that.

The ones on my 1998 SC3 were just pressed on. I just tapped them out.

Put some WD-40 in there, let it sit for a minute or two, then start pulling/twisting it and it will come off.
