Alright ima try to make to make this short and sweet...
I have a stock auto 1jz SC3 and ever since its been getting colder outside my car starts to sputter. When I start my car, I let it idle for a song (3min usually) before I put it in drive. So the car is usually at or close to operating temperature before I press the gas.
The sputtering problem...
1. It does this when the car is warmed up and at its normal operating temperature.
2. It happens when im between 2k-3k rpm and slightly pressing on the gas
3. It stops sputtering if i mash the gas a little and boost 5+ PSI
4. After about 5 minutes of driving at normal engine temp., it goes away and everything is fine.
I have been searching around and I have seen that the problem might be in my coolant temp sensor. But before I buy one, I want to get some more opinions.
Has anyone had this problem before? LMK if you need more info, I didnt want to type out my life story though lol

I had the same problem with my 1J. It happened everyday & the same dealio, after 5 minutes of driving it wouldn't happen again. It got to me bad, so I went out & changed the fuel filter, 02 sensor, replaced most of the vacuum lines & it hasn't happened since. Not sure if that's a help, but see how you go.
