my brother in law has been working on cars since he was 12. iv been working on them since i was 14/5. hes got actual hours in body work and has painted a vast amount of his cars. hes taught me alot but not about body work yet. im not scared though, he has all the knowledge and tools.

as for the rear, its not that bad. were going to cut the quarter panel out at the gas tank door, weld it back in place and sand down the welds so its flush. the front isnt bad, it didnt bend the rad. support or the crash bar.

i could fix the car to get it back on the road for under 1000 bucks. but i want certain parts that insurance will pay for (hopefully). i hit a deer in my civic 2 years ago and we fixed it for about 700 bucks and i had 2000 to buy another car and swap the engines over.. hah

shine auto project much?

cool man sounds like u got it under control---------glad to hear it -----and yes if you are able to cut out and weld back in your in great shape to do this repair to professional standards--------would be nice to see the pics of your finished product----im sure it will be a long time to come though.

turns out my friend is selling me his black 5spd shell. so either way im swapping everything over to the new shell (no rust like my car has!). and still do the shine body and white pearl paint. im also getting bbs lm replicas in black and get the rivets powder coated white.
