Talking Headlight condensation fix a success!

I did the headlight fix for condensation last night. It was pretty easy. Started around 8:30pm got done around 11:30pm. Baked the assemblies at 175 degrees for 8 minutes in oven, took them out and they came apart fairly easy with a little help from a heat gun in a couple spots. Dreid everything out, polished the inside of lenses with Novus plastic polish ( now shine like new), warmed them back up in oven, put them back together, sealed with 100% silicone. Installed them back in car about an hour later.
We had thunder storms over night and high humidities. Everything O.K. so far!

If I had not found this forum I would now be $500 poorer for buying new headlights. Thank You!!!

Chris:

There are two bolts that you have to reach through the front of the wheel wells to get to. You have to remove the plastic cover. Also there is one bolt on the top of the light fixture which needs to be removed.

One more note when you remove the light.

DON'T SCRATCH THE BUMPER.

I heard from a Lexus mechanic that the '98+ headlights are sealed much better so if your headlights are beyond help (cracked or you screw it up while bakin' it), then get a set of '98's...

I'm getting a set this week (hopefully before I leave)...I'll take some comparison shots next to my '92's...
