^^^ that's what I heard. I also talked to some of the guys that do the powdercoating and they suggested to powdercoat the polished barrel with clear-less maintenance and protects the polish that way.. either that or chrome

look what i got today pics dont do it justice... powdercoat is minty fresh. can't wait to finish this up. build thread will be up , soon, i hope

More creeping around today I found a drain hose on both sides of the car that connect to the sunroof area and drain out to the floor plug in the trunk area. The left side was disconnected from its outlet plug and I'm guessing its been a while because I went to reconnect and the plug fell through the rusted out edges and now I must do a patch. I also found that there is a small 1/4" hose for the gas to drain out when you spill a little around the gas cap. Well that too was unplug but thankfully there wasn't any rust in that area and I just reconnected and put a clamp on it. I don't understand how these things happen but rust is problem up north and doing the little things can help keep our cars looking good

I've been meaning to post in here but haven't had the chance. Although I didn't do anything with it today but kept it parked, I did a little with it the past 3 weeks of owning it. With all this pollen, I had to give her first wash last week. Was going to wash again this past weekend but the rain prevented me from doing so, instead I took the pillars off, knocked a small dent out of one of them, wet sanded, primed and painted them.

Before the wash:

After the wash:

It was just a quick wash, was mainly concerned of getting the pollen off. Now for the pillars...

Before the sanding, priming and painting:

Sanding, priming and painting process:

The finished product:

Didn't get to take a pic of the ride with them on there yet but I will. I also forgot to take pics after they were sanded. Overall I think they turned out good.

Today I took out the back seats, cleaned them, realized I need to re-do the whole carpeting because the owner before me decided to ruin the carpets and put house carpets inside lol. Umm I took off the whole center console because its poorly placed (previous owner) and a million screws are missing. Now I'm currently trying to open up the trunk because the previous owner crashed the rear end and the trunk doesn't open, I tried the whole paperclip thing and nothing -___-
