I didn't have any engine problems the first year, more on suspension, now the second year, a lot of engine problems seem to be building up, fast.

I know how you feel Phil. My car is doing this B.S. no idle thing. Pisses me off royally. Really considering scrapping this thing. It's my 4th 5spd and I think it's time to move to a new Lexus platform.

Question is, what did my SC do to itself today? Lol

The clip that's holding the wire of the camshaft position sensor decided to break apart and leave the wire hanging by the drive belt! ***** left me stranded in front of Home Depot for an hour to get it fixed!

Cleaned carpet with some home depot carpet stain/spot remover, a scrub, and a pressure washer! 100x better than before.

Changed out my 17 year old fuel filter today. It was something I would have done anyway. But the engine had the slightest hesitation, almost not noticeable, when the car was idling. I thought changing the filter might work, and it did. The slight hesitation is gone, I can only imagine how dirty that filter was inside. When we disconnected the lines you could see the nasty brown colored fuel coming out of the dirty side. So it was something that really needed to be done. She's running 100% again

Old filter:

New Bosch filter I got:

And the new filter in place:
