A series of sanding from lower grit sand paper to higher grit then wet sand to get all those fine scratches away. Buff and clear coat! And yeah I did it while still being on my car, I just used a good amount of painters tape in case if I did lose control of the drill so I won't damage my paint.

Yesterday I changed both ignition coils - not a difficult process once you know what you are looking for and get those godawful screws out that like to strip(vice grips 8, crappy screws 0), and replaced the plugs, wires, cap & rotor on the driver's side. Still need to tackle the passenger side this evening, but at least now I have a running car that idles smoothly and can accelerate out of its own way. BTW all of the parts were ORIGINAL from 91/92, except the plugs(which were not even tightened correctly as they were barely finger tight). Up this weekend or next is the starter, all the fluids and replacing the passenger headlight(which I already have, but need to put on). Also working on a pair of clear led sidemarkers that may or may not be finished this weekend as well.

It's amazing how the original factory parts lasted so long on these cars. My SC400 had all original wires and plugs, timing belt, drive belt, water pump. everything at 150,000 miles! Unbelievable how these UZ motors hold up!

Added an equalizer to my system and it made a big difference in sound quality. I had to do some crappy custom work to make it fit but overall I'm happy with it.

I drove my SC for the first time in 10 days. I was out of the country on my honeymoon and I smiled the entire way to work this morning.
