Hey Matt, saw you the other night at the FNM at the Tea Station. Raine dragged me along since I was in town. Anyways, wanna find out what would be the pros and cons in doing the welded diff, so far, all I know is, I would benefit from it cause when I find my self three wheeling in a steep driveway, both left and right wheels will have power to push me up, and con would be faster wear of tires? Anything else I need to consider if I wanna do this? I have a 400 btw. Thanks.

Daily driving would suck with welded! When you turn both tires will be spinning at the same speed and driving in the rain, you will slide instantly

Finally ordered replacement mats for the original 21 year plus that are in the car now....

Tan interior with dark brown mats - decided to stay with that look... So, the color is now called "Mocha"..... About 10 days as each set is made to order.... Won't have the "Lexus" logo on them but they should be a vast improvement over the worn out ones in there now..... Pictures when they arrived and installed....

Pro is exactly as you say, you'll have the rear end lockup to help you out when only 1 tire has traction.
Cons are higher treadwear, it's sometimes pretty annoying. and possibly dangerous in the .001% chance in socal that you run into rain if you're not careful as davidddddd (#of D's?) pointed out. Idk if you've ever ridden in a car w/ a welded diff, but going around lower speed turns, all you hear is the inside tire squealing or scuffing, and reversing into parking spots becomes a huge mission. If you get stuck at every driveway, maybe it'd be an okay move, but if it's occasional, I'd steer clear. Try 3-point turns into driveways, or as my friend calls it, the driveway shuffle. I'm installing this diff only when I'm going to the track to drift, I never get stuck so open diff for dd is good enough for me.

What before and after pictures?

I painted my antenna tips from chrome to black to match the emblems. Another SEM paint job turned out quite nicely.
