Passenger side door handle wasn't working on the outside so I assumed it was the handle clip. Did it on both sides...

Today I decided to take apart my headlight housings. Went as well as it can (couple burns out of the glue removal), however I ran into two problems.

First one of my projector lenses was cracked/shattered around the ring. It still seats and is held tightly with the clamp. I thought I should mention this as a precaution to anyone wanting to do this as I cut myself a couple times lol.

Problem two and I need help with. As I was using the heat fun and a spoon handle (best method to remove the glue once apart btw) I burned my leg real bad on accident and dropped the heat gun. Well I didn't notice till later but the heat gun fell on the inside if the plastic cover on the grooves and melted them to a haze but not to the point if damaging the integrity. Question is how long and how hard is it to remove those grooves? I seen the lines in front if the projectors and they seem simple enough to remove but the grooves look to be a major pita. Any advice on tools and supplies would be greatly appreciated.

I also painted the housings black as I like the look better but it is REAL obvious at how yellow my covers were lol

Thanks in advance

Rebuilt power steering pump & new alternator. While I was at it replaced my leaking hydraulic fan motor with a good used replacement. So far so good.

I read that thread. I was just hoping someone had a better way.

Anyway I successfully got the burn out and did a basic sanding in inside and outside. Since I have no where I'm allowed to open my hood or work on it I had to tape them together half done till tomorrow when I can get back to it. I found 320grit with a mouse sander is pretty good at delining. I figure I can spend 3-4 hours a day doing this till it's done. Then once it's done I'll need a 24 hour time to clear coat the inside if the lenses then reassemble with RTV. After that I'll need a separate 24 hours to clear the outsides. I'll probably wet sand at 2000 grit the outside just before painting to remove the yellow it accumulates during the time in between.

Ugh I can't wait to get out if this stupid neighborhood. They call the cops within minutes if me opening the hood. And heck that's in the driveway.

Just put on my new wheels that came mounted and balanced from Tire Rack.

Took apart one of the headlights that had condensation, and yellowing. I put it back together, and plan to do a headlight restoration on the outside of both headlights just to increase my visibility.

On the upcoming, I plan to put on my new rear OEM bumper as mine has a small crack, and then complete my build with 20% tint all around, and Cat-Back straight pipe, and hopefully with stainless tips. I'm on a tight budget but I am stretching it to make it work

Pictures of the wheels:

Do you guys like the wheels? They are staggered and 9.5" in the rear. with 8" on the front. Opinions?
