Installed a set of 18x8 GS350 wheels and tires I picked up on Craigs List for the princely sum of $340. Decent 245/40/18 Michelin Sport A/S Plus tires included (about 75% tread left). Definitely "crisps" up the steering compared to the stock 225/55/16 tires without any effect on the ride quality or noise. Fits with no clearance problems at all.

Tried to Bipass heater control valve, didn't fix heater. So I decided to burp coolant. Car needed a full gallon. Now heat works beautifully. I wonder how I lost a full gallon if coolant in a year (last time I filled it was feb13). Also my SES light went out for almost ten minutes, it is never off more than a few seconds usually. I wonder if they are related. Since installing te new ECU it only shows lean codes (no cats) so I assume it's a o2 senso. Ugh damn 1uz

I washed it, put air in the tires, and drove it for the first time in a little over a week and half.

Driving my LS430 is so much more fun. I can't wait to drop the SC off at home after work.

I watched it get dirty driving home in the rain this morning. Freaking cold rain. Just ruins a perfect day. We haven't received this much rain in the past summer.

Yesterday I installed a new pcv valve & cruise cont ecu. Today I pulled my main ecu to look inside & Surprise!!! 4 blown out resistors, pulled the codes off of them & ordered new ones and some extas for good measure. Not really surprised this is a common problem with SC's, shoot the car is 19 years old. Resistor capacitor e.t.a. Thursday or Friday of next week... So I went to the hdepot n picked up a fresh soldering iron & solder specifically for circuit boards.. so hopefully by next Saturday all my "phantom" electrical issues will be fixed. I'll keep you posted.

I kicked my SC400 in the nuts today. Have developed an intermittent misfire that after reviewing threads here am going to put down to my ECU. Unfortunately the only person who services ECU's within 100 miles is on holiday till the 20th

Installed this, The "Auto Guys" Short Throw shifter. Its very functional, but not finished. I lack a little more trimming and boot install. then maybe a wrap of all the trim. I DID NOT come up with this, credit goes to another member, although I am having hard time finding his thread and name. I still have to wire the OD into a relay signaled off the ECT button, and am considering the 5 speed trim piece as well. But it's installed and functions great.

Parts:

****: Ebay MOMO **** for auto's, 12.82 free ship
Boot: (not seen yet) Autozone Universal Manual boot, black red stitch, 10$
Pack of assorted springs: Autozone, 4.99

Going this low requires you to cut off the spring at top, and a new spring fabricated down lower to hold up the gear locking rod.

I looked at it sitting in the garage, with water spots from the rain and icy dew left on it. I really need to do something with the driver side headlight. I am starting to hate to see all this condensation.
