Today I changed the oil on my SC300. 183,451 and put Mobil 1 fully synthetic 5w30 in it with a Toyota filter. It had a Valvoline filter on it and probably Valvoline conventional oil that still was very clean coming out. Probably due to the fact that it likely didn't have more than 1500 miles on it when I drained it, but it's been in there at least 6 months and I was bored so I hit Wal Mart up last night for the 5 quart jug and a spare quart and a new oil container since the screw on caps ALWAYS break on those things so I had to get a new one.
Hopefully there weren't any tiny slow leaks that now get amplified by the synthetic but I'm really only running the engine until spring when I put my 1JZ in it. Then I'll switch it to Amsoil, just like I like in my 300ZX Twin Turbo...but for a daily driver that the trans might start slipping on again if the filter and fresh trans fluid didn't quite fix all the way, I didn't want to spend nearly $90 on an Amsoil filter and oil. It's $70ish on my 300ZX and it only takes 3 5/8ths quarts of oil.

Thanks,
Gee
Edit: I saw your post and few pages up that you got them from Sewell Lexus. I am assuming locally. I trying to see the price these are going for and best place to get them.

When you register an account there you just enter your ClubLexus username in the spot for it at the bottom of the registration page, and there is a decent discount given on basically everything just for being a forum member here, and I believe they are an authorized vendor on this forum as well.

Can you provide the place you got the new headlights? I am looking to just get me some new ones.
Thanks,

I picked up a set of '94-04 Mustang Cobra wheels today as a bit of a project. 17x9 (50 lb 1 oz with full tread), +24 offset, 245/45-17 (exact match for stock height). Two have nearly new tires and two are completely bald. One of the bald ones was suffering from chrome peeling and not holding air, so the plan was to put the two good ones on the back and get the other two de-chromed and put some of my 225/50-17 tires on the front. Yeah, that's a waste of a 9" wide wheel, but I have six good tires in that size.
As it turns out, one of the good ones wasn't holding air, either... 5+ psi hissed out of the inner lip within a few minutes of filling it up. Boy do I ever hate chrome. They always start flaking and lose their seal eventually... The guy bought them for a big trailer and never put them on once he realized they didn't fit, then left them sitting since the summer, so there was no telling what condition they were truly in.
I'll probably test fit the lone good one tomorrow to see how it fills out the wheel well in the back, before doing any work on them. I suspect/hope it'll be excellent. If my hunch is right, they could be a good alternative to the much less attractive (IMO) Supra TT wheels that are 4.5 lbs heavier, albeit for 20mm more tire width and 0.5" more rim width, for those wanting big brake clearance.

Filled up 18 gallons for 46$ and the starter finally gave out. Have to work in the morning so I literally had no choice to swap it out in pitch darkness with only my flashlight on my phone. It sucked but it worked out and now I have a starter

Received a package from Japan a day before Xmas including a few small goodies.
Carbing cooling plate -
To suit JZZ30 hence the washer bottler being out of place, otherwise good fitment.
JZA80 fuel cap holder -
Perfect position not to foul on cap when lid is closed held on by 3M double sided tape to secure it in place. I now have somewhere to hold my cap rather than sitting it on the back window.
New OEM VSV (part # 88690-24060) -
No longer have to have it bypassed to get heat.
New Toyota Premium horns, plug & play. (part # 08522-47010) -
New OEM shim kit for JZA80 rear BBK (part # 04946-14031) -
I was missing the inner shims when I bought the calipers causing a clunk under heavy braking now gone.

Paid for some work to be done. Anyone who knows MDSC on this forum should know...he's a great mechanic and down-to-earth-guy in the truest sense.
Rear Tires mounted and balanced Achilles ATR Sport 2 (dry=awesome, wet????)
Front shims and new pads on TT brakes, re-surfaced rotors
Trans pan gasket
Oil change
Ball joint correction
Rebalanced front tires.
And a few other things I didn't even ask for.......for free
She rides like she's on glass now...at a price for labor so cheap, I felt guilty paying it. God is GOOD!

Well I was not so successful.
-Purchased a reman rack and pinion + bushings, got half way to removing it. Taking the wheel off, lug stud broke off, probably the 20th time the wheels were removed this month, not even kidding. To make things even better, it was >32 degrees and windy. Oh well, things could be worse...
Thanks for the reminder...
