It's being shipped from Chicago and will be here in just a couple of days. It's a 1997 Royal Sapphire Pearl HARDTOP with a 2JZ-GTE swap and a R154, single turbo conversion, all sorts of goodies.

- Swapped the lens from my new headlights over to my old tsx retrofit
- Bought a used set of fogs from another member, wet sanded, and polished them
- Bought a 3000k HID kit and led bulbs from DDM tuning

Please post more details about this car once you get it. How much did you pick it up for?
I sure will! I'd rather not say what I picked it up for, but I am very happy with the price. The seller couldn't have been nicer about the whole thing and included a bunch of miscellaneous spare parts from his tinkering with the car over the past year.

The seller says it's one of one at least for hardtops of this color. It was automatic from the factory and had the R154 swapped in, in case that wasn't clear. Perhaps one of you guys has one of those production sheets sitting around and we can figure it out for sure?
A special thanks to OldManTan for getting out there and taking a look at the car for me.
In case you guys are curious, I did some investigating and found the for-sale threads of all the previous owners (except for the guy I bought it from).
Since then, the guy I bought it from has done a single turbo swap, some tuning (by Sound Performance), cleaned up the interior (painted wood trim, removed boost gauge), swapped the trunk to winged trunk, and that's about it.
I prepared the trim on both of the doors of my 95 SC300 to repainted them. The car runs great but it is beginning to show its age. Next up is new leather for the seats!
Instead of painting the pillars, you may want to try the "carbon fibre" looking vinyl wrap. Those pillars were not originally painted but a plastic coating on the metal. Often the paint won't last long on those pillars and peels off quite quickly....

I'm debating which way to go with that, myself. I'm hoping self-etching primer will allow paint to adhere and hold up well. On the other hand, vinyl wraps don't have the greatest longevity when exposed to the weather. The 3M stuff seems pretty good, but everything else is measured in years you can count on one hand.
