That was done by the body shop that repainted the vehicle in 2013. The original pillars had chips on the passenger side and I was going to have the body shop repaint them but they told me that it is not paint but plastic. They suggested the relatively inexpensive "CF" like covering be used which at first I was not that high on it. The CF texture, as it turns out, hides all the smudges and finger prints that used to build up on the previous finish so it grew on me very quickly. If and when it wears down or gets torn it can be peeled off and replaced with new, similar material quite easily.

That's weird they wouldn't paint them just because it wasn't paint originally. (Yet, they would do a vinyl wrap even though it wasn't a vinyl wrap originally.) I painted mine with high heat black paint and self-etching primer, and it looks just like factory and hasn't shown any signs of not holding up. Chipping away all the old stuff is the hardest part.

t2d2, did you remove the pillars before painting? If so how do they come off?

I did remove them for replacing the belt line mouldings, but I think that was a separate project. I recall just masking off around them for painting.

The B-pillar trim is part of the overall outer window surround. You have to remove the door panel to get to the lower screws to remove the inner window trim, then uncover a few small hidden screws to release the outer trim, and finally pry it off with a couple clips behind the B-pillar portion that seem impossible to not break.

LEXXIUM, did you make that battery tray from scratch? That looks like a really good way of mounting it as low as possible, at least on models without the vent cutout right there.

Default Resonator Delete

Deleted 3 resonators. Definitely breathing better, more responsive and sounding better. Kept the stock mufflers. I used a flashlight to try to show how small the pipe gets right before the first resonator.

Yes, I had some steel laying around, measured the battery and welded rectangle then added tabs to mount to the factory studs from the amp. There is a small steel tab under the tray to level it all out.
Its pretty solid!!
Dont forget the switch

And today I was tired of looking at ugly cracked rear deck panel, so I cut out piece of 1/8"- 4mm plastic piece and made a new rear deck with grizales

Very nice. I came up with something similar in lieu of welding skills:

The switch? Do you mean a fuse/disconnect?
