I shot a custom lower valance inset to cover up 2 spots of paint damage. I did the rear too but the color turned out horrible. I'll be redoing that. I shot the rear with W75 classic white metal flake / Pearlizer / Glossifier. I omitted the Peralizer on the front and it turned out much nicer. As soon as I get the rear right, I can start the 7 stage paint correction on the rest of the car. Looks like this on both sides.
Thanks. they weren't too bad when I got it but they were yellow. I did a 3 stage wet sand on them and then a 2 stage polish on them and the fog lights and then clear-coated and baked them. Like new now. These were relatively easy compared to a lot of German headlights I've done. I'm pretty pleased, I just need to swap in some HID's.
Hi Guys, not sure if this is the wrong place to seek some advice or feed back at least, im looking to get my first SC (I want to do a 2j swap) . Ive looked on countless sites for about a month now and none of them had black interior. I found one that has Black interior, which was my only requirement as far as color goes. I dont mind painting the car. I just want someone who knows what they are looking at to see if I should just wait or try my luck with this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/182723021117...84.m1558.l2649
That is the car
Again, sorry if this is the wrong place to post or ask.
any feed back would be greatly appreciated as well, I hope to be posting my own work on here in the near future.

Yeah, wrong place to ask. Secondly, do you even know what youre looking at? That car is a 2JZGE (what "2j swap" are you referring to?).

What type of clear did you use? They look great btw

Thanks for the reply, I know what im looking at but I have only dealt with the 1st Gen IS. I wanted to swap my IS with a 2JGTE twin turbo, and the guy at my shop said you should look into an SC to do the swap in. I have never even payed attention to them until recently, so I just wanted a second opinion I guess, my apologies for posting in the wrong thread.
Ordered these 2 esr wheels few days ago from e gangsta bay came in today
the reason I got only 2 is to see what they look like in the front vs back so I can go wider in the back if I want to
Just got home Crome work and got straight to it
these are 18x9.5 +35 Im going to use for my rear these would be where I want them to be with my 20 mm spacers it sits perfect I wouldn't want to go any wider, for the fronts I'll go with 18x8.5+35 because when installed even without the spacers in the front it's too wide for me check out pics
thanks
all pics were taken with 20mm spacer except the second pic with no spacer you can see the difference
Good call those 9.5 will be too aggressive for the fronts. Those will look good when installed. Provide some feed back when you get the front, curious how well they clear the LS400 calipers.
IMO, F: 18x9.5 +35 (as is with no spacer) and R: 18x10.5 +35 is the perfect fit on our cars for running large tires. All you would need is a roll on all 4 fenders and you'll have enough clearance.
The wheels have to be under load for you to see how they'll really fit. When the wheel is hanging freely, it'll always poke out more. Find some wooden blocks and lower the wheel on to the blocks like this:
