The only reason I mentioned doing the 9.5 +22 instead was because I figured you'd want more tire once that na-t engine goes in.Fronts were 19x9.5 +24 with a 235/35/19. The car belongs to one of my friends. I've put enough time into this build that I can answer questions like it's my own car.
Meisters were eventually refinished and installed on this manual swapped SC400.
Thanks for the specs and pictures I have some rebuilt Work Equip's in basically the same size (19x9.5+28&19x10.5+26) that were gonna go on my GS. After seeing those pics though, they might be going on the SC instead lol.

Yeah, that's perfect sizing for the SC. I can show you exactly what it'll look like. lol
Got her all cleaned up. Still debating on whether I should go non vvti or vvti on the 1J install. Sourced a 1J this weekend for only $400.00 but I'm still on the fence about it.
well this car looks familiar. it used to be one of the baddest NA-T builds in the midwest a while back, correct?
Can some please help me, today been trying to find why my 1992 sc 300 is in safe mode
I am trying to find out why my 1992 sc 300 is in fail safe mode. No overdrive. No check engine light/ trans light. I had a o/d off light flashing while drive for a while. Replaced shift solenoids. Light went off still not overdrive. Transmission does not slip and feels strong. Last time it was not in fail safe mood was in the highway before the solenoids was replaced. Had no overdrive but have it near 70 mph and than for no reason and car did not skip a beat or slow down rpm's jumped from 4,000 rpm to 5,700 and damn I really hit the brake. I am think bad sensor. Can a o2 sensor make it go into fail safe mode? I have had 3 people say it needs a dealer level scanner, like at Lexus or transmission shop, but they all said that in the phone. But would they even be able to see it was o2 sensors? I hate to say someone and get no where. Damn obd 1.
Congratulations on hitting 200K! I have 123K on mine and I'm trying to baby my miles. Sometimes it defeats the purpose of enjoying such a wonderful vehicle.
I went ahead and updated the wheels from 16's to 18's and washed and clayed the car.
Strange enough, the clay bar wasn't badly contaminated, so I don't know how long ago the paint was touched but for sure it needs some paint correction.
I'm still on the fence about painting it a new color. More important stuff to do with the car first. However those wheels needed an update and I like it.

That looks just like how my SC did but with Meisters instead of SSR Professors. I definitely miss that black on black look every day.
