Gonna be pulling the ECU out of my SC4 today. Picked it up over the weekend and I think it's the first place to start with getting it back to being roadworthy.

Had it's annual safety inspection performed and registration renewed, along with an oil change.

Where did you buy the new struts? My last set only lasted about 5 years and I would like higher quality next time.

Alarm fobs stopped working and the old keys no longer opened the locks.
Pulled the lock out of the drivers door and got a lock smith to cut a new key.
Now I have lost the lock!!!!!!! Doh - head plant.
Can't start the car anyway as I can't reprogram the two button fobs. The alarm was originally sold by Piranha in Australia. On the fob there is text "Flash Point" I can't find this alarm anywhere. Or more importantly how to reprogram the fobs.
The alarm box has no name on it and no name in it. All the wires that come out of if a black! It uses a PIC processor.
So my baby is just sitting in the driveway feeling unloved
Anyone think they may know how to program the fobs I am all ears.
Cheers.

The 27+ year old starter finally gave out and had the shop put in the Denso rebuilt; should be good for the next 15 years or so. 😏

Also, due to my “abuse” of mostly very short daily runs, the 4+ year old Optima Yellow Top had to be replaced and went with an Interstate Megatron.

Installed a new trans filter/screen, and a new gasket since the old one was thrashed, leaking, and coated in RTV. Did an oil change, drained almost seven quarts out of it... lovely fuel diluted oil from people (including myself) trying to start it with bad coils. Damn filter was torqued to yield, I think lol. My filter wrench broke, so I had to punch a big screwdriver through it. After turning about a third of a turn, I had to punch it again, and then a third time before it was loose enough to actually remove by hand. My god, that was entirely too difficult for just an oil change. Then I tackled the steering rack bushings, and installed whiteline poly bushings. Haven't gotten to test drive it yet, since the trans apparently drained more than two quarts like I've read is supposed to be, when changing the fluid. I put two quarts in, and it's just slipping, so nooooot quite enough.

That's a common failure as they get old. You can still buy the pedal new from the dealer. I think it's about $70 or so. Part number is 31301-24050

Good to know that the pedal is still available - thanks for the PN. I had my dealer check that whole system a couple of years ago because I was concerned about the master and slave cylinders, which they thought were fine.

Is there any indication that the pedal is failing? Mine seems to work exactly as it has for the last 26 years but I would like to change it if needed before it leaves me stranded.
