That’s awesome! Those air lines are always a hassle. Did you do one of those fancy trunk setups with your install?

Today I began the process of replacing the valve cover gaskets. What a pain! Couldn't finish because of the rain, but in the next few days I'll be cleaning up the spark plug tray and valve covers, and prepping the head to get everything put back together.

Trunk is still a mess. As of right now I don’t care too much for anything fancy. I just need it to look neat if that makes any sense.

I jumpstarted my SC today. The battery I have came from the Lexus dealership I worked at and never holds a charge. Once the car was running, the lights started going dim.

I was thinking of taking the SC to the dealership tomorrow to get a new battery since it’s still under warranty. The only problem is the car is on the verge of dying as soon as I hit the brakes or use the turn signal.

take the battery out and ask someone to give you a ride. Swap the batt and slap it back in the car when you get back

I don’t, but I do have roadside service with my car insurance. I considered towing it up there but it takes forever to get a flatbed to come out.

I considered that but the warranty requires me to have the battery installed in a car when they test it. It’s pretty stupid as this would be the easiest way to do it.

I took the battery out and had it charged at an auto parts store nearby. They said the battery is in pretty bad shape, which explains why it’s been a nightmare to deal with for the past year. It was a brand new battery straight from our parts department too.

Kira,
That is the reason I ask if you had triple A, they are usually a lot faster to come out than your towing rider on your insurance and also after being around cars as long as I have I knew that your Lexus dealership would want to see the car. They will want to check out your charging system and maybe sell you an alternator etc.. Let us know.
Good Luck

I never thought to try AAA as I figured it’d cost more than what I pay for my current roadside service. I think I’ll try it out

You’re absolutely right that they will want to sell me some expensive parts. I get parts at a discount but I still couldn’t afford half of the parts I wanted even as an employee. Hopefully it’s just the battery. I’ll try to get it up there next week and let you know how it goes.

Kira,
Just a afterthought, Triple A usually has a nice discount for first time members. If you go this route be sure and ask for the discount. By the way I still have my towing rider on my insurance it's too cheap not top have.

Replaced starter on the 1UZ a couple weeks ago, destroyed the knock sensor in the process of that on accident, but fixed that. Everything up to par.
