Thank you Bill! Sometimes I need a little encouragement, especially when it comes to electrical work as my patience is always a little short when it comes to diagnosing issues in that area. Sounds like you've got a very nice set up that's just modest enough to not have to worry about that harness. I certainly wouldn't bother with it unless you start to notice any wear on the fender liner above the wheel from things rubbing over bumps, etc.

Your awesome comments and encouragement is always out of this world Bill! Glad to have you here.

Today I had new 255/35 x 18 tires installed on the front of my SC300 and does it drive better I had a front end alignment done a couple of years ago and I must confess I was not sure about this young man. Everybody needs experience on the job and I said why not. Wrong. they had worn real bad on the inside tread and i had a new alignment done a couple months ago to correct everything and today was the day to replace the tires. I already have a new set for the rear and will install them after milking these rear ones for a few more miles.

Finally addressed the “annual” recharge for the A/C system and had the faulty compressor replaced. Hopefully this will last a while and not have to recharge the system every year…..

Next up is the gauge cluster as the speedometer needle is now completely dark…..

Duck and Silent
Had a slow A/C leak, so slow it didn't bother me, just added a can of refrigerant. The price and hassle in California became so ridiculous I began using refrigerant w sealant almost the same price and after a few cans the sealant held and I have no leak. My 30 yr old A/C blows and is cold as if it were new
I never believed in this sealant stuff before, but the car amazes me everyday

Is your A/C the original R12 ? Converted mine to R134 in 2012 and have had challenges ever since. Second compressor ( 2012 and now last week) but first I have heard about refrigerant with a sealant. Will definitely look into it….

I converted to 134 about the same time, when they started charging over $100 for a can of R 12 as a pollutant. I still have my original compressor. The only difference on the motor is, you have to put a plastic screw on adapter to accept the R134 can. SC's are set up only for the R12 can. I recharge the a/c myself w a simple dedicated hose connected to the R134A can and the other end connected to the adapter on the motor or compressor. Very easy. There is usually a pressure gauge on these hoses.

the adapter kit and the refrigerant recharge hose kits are readily available. The sales people will be glad to assist at the above
not expensive
All the Best

I started the process of dying the interior black by pulling the rear interior out!

The previous owner did a real number on this car!

I sold my Sc300 yesterday =(

I made good money off it but i'll still miss it alot.

I only talked myself into it because i found a perfect condition 125k mile sc300 with a small knock for a steal. Already pulled the engine and getting ready for the new build!

Oh ****! Someone pulled the trigger huh? That other car you bought is a beauty - I think this will be well worth the trouble Ryan!

I replaced the head unit (tape deck didn’t work) with an aftermarket pioneer when I first got it last year. Doing so, I lost the subwoofer. Today, I fixed that problem with a kicker sub in the rear deck and little infinity amp. It fit perfectly where the stock amp was, inside the right rear fender. It’s not the tightest sounding and I still need to replace the front door speakers and wire them to the amp but at least this is a beginning (sorry, no pics of the sub)

Where the original amp lived

Tiny oem amp and bracket

Tiny infinity amp next to oem

Reusing the bracket

Rivnuts in place

All set up and ready to go back under carpet.
