Changed valve cover gaskets
Finally changed my valve cover gaskets. It was easier than changing the timing belt except for the sparkplug well seals. Getting them over the well tubes was a nightmare and I had to make a tool to do it. Now that I've posted this, someone will come along and tell me one already exists. BUT, I did make one and if anyone wants, I'll post pictures of it. It's quite simple and is basically a plug which is just big enough to fit through the seal and it holds a tube formed of mylar plastic. If I didn't have the mylar around, I would have cut up a 2 liter plastic bottle. The plastic tube goes over the plug well and guides it into the seal. I'm lucky to have a lathe so I turned the plug from some wood but I was sweating it for a while, unable to see how I was going to get those seals over the plug wells, especially the one on near the back of the passenger side valve cover.

Good morning Shane,
Thanks again for the pictures. Looks like a nice ride, are you going back with the original color? 700 HP which is a nice accomplishment. Be sure and let us know of anything new coming up.
Good luck,
Bill

That thing will look great when it's all said and done. Post up some engine bay pics when you get a chance! I'm also diggin the hood cut outs... My hood is in rough shape and I've always wanted to vent it but have never made up my mind about how I'd want to do it.
