with the weather stripping removed (re install for rainy season) and a slight trim of the fiberglass (about 1inch removed from where it meets up with the weather stripping along the lenght of the hood) I have around 1/3inch gap to help vent some heat.

Smile anttenna cai

took out my antenna set up:the motor that lifts up and brings back down...

i dont have that ugly antena that reaches the sky, also the wire that moved antenna up/down was broken so it made a crackling noise each time radio was on.. replaced it with a with carbon fiber antenna alot smaller and light weight saved like 10 lbs or so with the motor and all its wires removed..

took out the factory intake and put my custom made spectre intake and adapted it to breathe cold air from down under my bumber but still high enough to go in a puddle and not flood engine..

I agree but wanted to see if getting a vented hood down the road would be worth while for helping keep under hood temps down slightly, so far I have noticed that after hard driving there is no longer a smell of over heated tranny fluid.

sorry worded it wrong, guess I should have said I did the sorta cowl induction factory hood mod that vents out underhood air

I added longer bolts today and increased the gap (underhood) to 1/2 inch

Today I painted some more interior parts, slowly getting it back together asthe parts come in. Its gona be painted SantaFe which is basically a light cream, the wood grain has been painted metallic platinum, and the a-pillars sun roof liner and some odds and ends are wrapped in cream suede. Ill posts some pics when I get a chance.
