Body Work Ugh!
What turned out to be a 2 weekend project has turned out to be 8 weekends thus far on my 96 SC400. But I am on the down curve and hopefully will have paint on her by this weekend. I am going flat black with a satin clear coat. On this pic I have a 98 bumper.....(Shout out to DFW Auto Parts) I have the rear bumper but no OEM side skirts or extensions so it just doesnt do the car any justice. So for now I am going to roll with my 96 bumper until I can find the other parts. Anyways I copped a set of 19inch staggered chrome TSW Volcano Rims 19x8.5 front 19x9.5 rear 35 offset, the rear has a nasty 3 inch lip. Believe it or not I got them for $250! one of the fronts is bent but that's an easy $100 dollar fix. Not sure what tire size I am gonna roll just yet, I am thinking 275/30 and 245/30. So today I sent the bent one to the shop, so I plastidipped and painted the centers on the other 3 rims. Even as I am typing this post, my homeboy hit me up with a R154 manny tranny for $300 so I am going to cop that and order my conversion kit from Quantum Tech.
I attached pics of my work and the rims. I sold my 96 SC400 with a full 98 conversion for a nice penny so I could finance this Frankenstein project I am working on. So far I got black OEM interior from a 96 SC300, my heads have been worked, 120 shot dry kit, I cut the center cat, custom X-pipe and ran 2 1/4 piping cut the resonators and just running resonated tips. I may hold the R154 and the conversion kit for awhile, I am seriously considering a 4.7l Tundra engine and supercharging it. When I finish her I will definitely post pics, hopefully next week.
I maybe new to Club Lexus but definitely not new to the game.

Nice wheels! Those TSW's look good.
Today I got a jdm Soarer rear bumper, but its black. I would trade anyone for a white one. 97+ only. In Fl.
I also Changed my door handle. Yay.
Finally. Gonna change out the radio with a spare I have with a working tape deck. So i can play mp3s with my tape adapter.
