Default 18x10 +22 tire fitment?

I tryed searching the forum and was unable to get an answer to my question. Will a (1st choise) 285/30 or atleast a 275/35 fit in the rear of my SC3 with rolled fenders? If not whats the widest I can fit?
my rear rims are 18x10 +22, my other off set option is +40 would that be any better?
Thank You
Scott

You're borderline there with the aggressive offset. Depends on the tire really. FWIW I have 18x11 +32 315s on a cut fender and they fit perfect. However the 325s that came on the tires would rub on hard bumps.

You can get away with 275's on the 10+22 you will need to roll. 10+40 can fit 285's but will tuck slightly all depends on what you want.

Klaus is that fitment on a SC or MKIV?

MKIV, however the fitment should be very similar on stock bodies.

22 offset with 18x10s, thats a perfect near aggressive fitment, i have 9.5 with 23 offset and the wheels fit the fender perfectly, but thats with 245/45/18s and negative camber,

with 10inches and 22 offset youll need a slight pull or flare to get the 275s to fit

honestly id do it i had alot of fun fitting a -44 offset 10" wide wheel on a 87 200sx

I like the stretched look, but I am wanting the wider tire on the rear, so it sounds like the +40 is what im wanting, I can always get some 10-15mm spacers to make the wheel more flush.
Does any 1 have pics of there cars w these offsets?

It doesn't - that's wide body fitment

OP, how low do you want to go? Check out 5sp_jzz30's car on 18x10 +22 all around. He has 255/35/18 in this pic.

If you want wider tires out back just raise the car until it doesn't rub anymore.

You'll end up poking, though.

Yea, unless you have a lot of camber. I think that there are two criteria that are always left out when someone asks "will it fit". You have to list how much lowering and what camber settings you will run because the fit depends very much on those factors.

it won't poke too much, unless you're running like -0.5* camber, and if you are, gl fitting 275's. I had 255/40 michelin pilots on with about -2* camber, and had to raise my car way up to get it to stop rubbing around corners, and my rears are shaved.

only pic i have.
