PS I have gold pin stripes I know I know car came that way they put the stripes on after I bought car They thought I would like it and it was free

I am going to go againt the grain on this one. I've got the gold package too on pearl white. I've got to say - I still like it. Everyone on here says it is ghetto, but I really don't agree. If I were to gold the exhaust - that would be ghetto.

I'm getting my car painted in a month or two and will get new emblems as well. I am a very understated guy - don't like a lot of jewlery, etc. , like my cars looking OEM - not ricer or ghetto ................ but, I am stuck on silver vs. gold. Like I said before, I still like the way it looks.

Does anyone agree with me, or am I just being ghetto and should probably change to silver.

I like chrome just because it looks cleaner.

Ryan, just for giggles, go park your car in Santa Ana next to a Buick Regal with reverse gold wire rims.... then look at your emblems..... You may get the 'picture' that we are trying to paint.

just kidding.... I just think that gold is played out.

i'm more partial to chrome myself... i agree, it does look cleaner.
i've seen a few older model lex's with gold trim, and it looks real tacky when the emblems start to fade... i would go with the silver/chrome badges... check out the shine after a car wash too...

I agree w/ Ryan, I have a Pearl White w/ Gold package. I switched to Chrome emblems since I had chome wheels. I even went to chrome lug nuts too. But went back to the Gold Emblems because it just didn't "Look right". The pearl paint seems to have a slight amber tint to it (like bone white) and the chrome emblems didn't match the paint, not to mention the annoying gold pinstripe. Looked too flashy, and not classy; if that makes sence. So now I need to get my new lug nuts re-gold plated.

Every one has different tastes, so you just need to pick yours. I'm sure someone has a picture of a pearl w/ chrome emblems posted somewhere, and you can compare the looks yourself.

I love the gold on my car, some people ***** at me because my car has a drug dealer presence ( gold emblems on 19 inch Z3s) but I don't mind. The only thing that does **** me off though is the gold pin striping that is painted on and then clear coated over!! Anyone had experiance with having pinstripes like these removed without repainting the whole car?

i have silver badging on my 96 sc300 right now and was thinking about going to gold...my car is black, and i thought the gold package looked pretty good on my buddies black ls400.

If you felt like running with Soarer emblems, you could go black and gold.......
Though I'm not to sure how it would look on pearl white.....

SLow, I dig that Blk/Gold Griffin, do you have a source to get me Black Chrome Soarer emblems? Specifically, the SOARER wordmark for the pass side boot.

For a full set for the Lexus they charge £175.... $260 ???

I'm trying to find JDM originals from Toyota, I'm hoping that they aren't so expensive. Should take me a week or so.

I forgot to mention I have MOMO GT2 Painted the same color as the car pearl white with MOMO painter in red it looks good...
