Not getting enough gas for more than light throttle? Maybe your fuel pump is weak, or the gas filter is clogged.

12v mod, check the vac lines, check the TPS voltage at closed and wot, double check timing, fuel filter. Then go from there

12v fuel ecu bypass is a good call but my bet is you coil on the driver side is going bad. replace it and watch your car come alive. If you need anything just let me know.

Everyone that has had a 1uz-fe long enough has had the driver side coil problem. I got my SC for $750 because of that coil. The car barley ran and shifted like the trans was shot. You could smell unburnt fuel coming out the exhaust. I dropped the new coil it and she ran fine.

The SC4 has some great engineering as far as the ignition system. The system runs through two separate coils two igniteres and 2 cap and rotor assemblies. Then the 4 wires of each rotor goes to two cylinders on each side. So the car will run on half its ignition system.

BTW SC4LOVER. Whats up with the two threads. You could have also asked you idle question in this thread or better yet utilize the search feature in the tool bar. You can learn everything about your car on this forum. Over 10 years of priceless information and discussion are here. Welcome to ClubLexus and congratulations on now owning one of the coolest cars ever made! Good luck

So you did the 12v bypass of the fuel controller and checked both of your coils? Do you smell any unburnt fuel coming from your exhaust?
