Default MSD ignition set up failed to work properly, HELP!!!

Have anyone here try the MSD ignition system for our car?? I just got mine installed and so far, there were a few problem. The tachometer rev up to 2000 rpm at idle speed when first start, and doesn't go down till the car was driven and heat up. The tachometer hand is also go up and down between 2k to 3k rpm range unpredictively. But then, everything work normally when the car is driven and heated up. Now the only problem that persist through is the AC doesn't work, the AC light on the button keep blinking.

Ok, for the set up, i did run two ignition amplifiers, two coils and also two tach adapters(without these the car won't start). I had called MSD for tech support but they were pretty weren't brighter than me.. . Anyway, i was hoping someone here had done the set up or at least can help me out with some ideas. Thanks a bunch guys...

Are you running your resistors on the coils?

No, i wasn't told to do the resistor. Please instruct...Thanks...BTW, please be specify the resistor value if possible...Sounded like you already had your own set up??? Someone has mention this to me b4 but it wasn't from the tech support and the idea wasn't so clear so i never did it...Hopefully this would work...Thanks again.

Mr. Jeff (aka SC300TURBO) has MSD ignition on his car but then again, I don't think he has many stoc parts anymore.

This is on the 4L motor with 2 distributors, coils, and what not. So any msd is basically double. I had a difficult enough time trying to get an msd set-up to work on a 4 cylinder. I wound up taking it to an import shop because I could not even get the car to start. Props to the man who got the 1uz running! I do not have any good advice though other than to take it to someone whom has experience with this stuff.

I got mine running after two weeks, two different tach adapters, and a couple faxed diagrams that resembled NOTHING in the books. At a minimum, I'd call MSD tech support and get them working on the situation. If you're N/A and running an SC400, I don't see any real reason to use the MSD box. The main drivability improvement is in idle with cold plugs, but the SC400 has a good idle and you're probably not using cold plugs. If you're running NOS or supercharged/turbocharged, the MSD would help in firing a mixture where the a/f ratio is off the mark.

Scott, exactly as you think, Nos is my next set up. I know i am gonna need better spark when running high pressure, that is why i chose MSD. Unfortunately, i can't even pass the first stage, so second stage set up might not be anytime soon.
