2jz-gte help

i was told that you would need to swap out the tt valve body for the n/a valve and use the kickdown cable too because the tt uses electronic solenoid. Is this true I have a 97 sc300. Anything else I can do that doesn't involve me opening the tranny up

u should just wait and do the motor and tranny in 1 shot. it would make life a lil bit easier and less work in the long run to make ur existing tranny work for only a short time and then have to take it apart again for the r154.

I am getting the complete swap but I am trying to avoid the trouble with the tt auto tranny. I don't think the ecu will have trouble with the na tranny cause you are basically making the tt tranny the na one when you swap over the valve body and kickdown cable

I ask myself the same question....I'm confused, why not use the same tranny that comes with the swap and call it a day? The only thing your car is ob2 and most likely your 2j swap will be ob1 which you have to something to make it work not sure if you're aware of that.
