Default Help Please!!!

Ok. Last night i left my lights on all night On My Sc300. got in and it started up great, then about 5 minutes later i noticed my headlights werent turning on at all, my radio was cutting out, and my dashlights were really dim. then started having Major loss of Power, I was at the stop light Flooring the MotherF***er and all it was doing was crawling.... then Power steering went out and Boom. Dead... I figure its either My Battery or Alternator but who knows with an Sc. could be anything. Feedback?

Check the alt. Where is the car now? Can you take the bat to Advance or autozone they can check it free.

Check your alternator while you're at the autozone.

How can you leave your lights on? Mines go off when I open the door after stopping the engine.

the lights go off but it still leaves an open circuit.. It is the Alternator though had Oreillys Check it and its not puttin out any power. A couple more Qs too. Will a 96+ Sc Alternator fit on my 92? Reason for asking is because a guys parting out a 96 Sc here where i live and i could prob get it for like 40-50 bucks. The other is how hard the Alternator is to change yourself... Any Expert Advise would be much Obliged.

Yes it´s the same. Part number 9108-9505.
I think it´s not a simple task to do. Maybe easier if you dissasemble the front of the car.

changing the alternator is a easy job, there is no need to disassemble the front of the car at all. all u need to do is take the belt off of it, take a few plugs off the alternator and take 2 bolts out.

Wait wait wait. The 96 alternator is much different than the 92!!! They use different plugs. Im running into that problem right now. This is definatly an alternator problem.

Isn't there a 3-prong vs. 2-prong plug difference?
